The three keys to selecting the correct length are:

•     1) Ball position - should be approximately six inches outside and opposite your right toe line (for a right hand golfer)
•     2) Your posture - you should stand fairly erect with a slight crouch. If you choose to crouch significantly, then you will need to select a shorter length.
•     3) Where you anchor the end of the putter - You should anchor the top end of the putter between your biceps and shoulder in the crease between your arm and chest. You can even anchor your top hand on top of your biceps for a true one piece stroke.
  
  For best results, you want to bend slightly to the right so your eyes have a clear view of the ball/target line.
  
  When your ball position, posture and arm setup are determined then the correct length for your putter is measured from the ground under the ball position up to the point on your body where you will anchor the top of the putter grip.
  
  For example, I am 5' 8 3/4 inches tall and use a Face-On putter length of 48 inches. I anchor the top of the putter over my biceps and have a slight crouch in my posture.
  
  Since your putter lie angle is limited to a minimum angle of ten degrees from vertical by the USGA, the heel of your putter will be slightly off the ground at address and during your putting stroke. Your putter is balanced with the rear mounted center shaft so that the ball will still roll straight and true.

Recommended Length
